Lesson 3: Setting Yourself Up for Success (Mentorship & Accountability)
"Christianity isn’t meant to be a solo journey. We are created for connection, and that includes your walk with Jesus. If you want to grow spiritually, you need people who will walk with you—who will encourage you, pray for you, and help you stay on the path. That’s why having a mentor is so important.
A mentor is simply someone who is a little further along in their faith journey who can help guide you. It could be a pastor, a small group leader, or a trusted friend who knows Jesus personally. Here’s my challenge for you:
- Reach out to someone today and ask if they’d be willing to mentor you.
- Check in with them regularly—maybe once a week.
- Be open and honest about your journey—share what you’re learning and ask questions.
And if you don’t have someone yet, don’t worry! Pray and ask God to lead you to the right person. You can also connect with others in the course discussion forum.
This journey is so much richer when you walk it with others. Don’t do this alone—find a mentor, build community, and let’s grow together!”
